What We Do
See What Services We Can Offer You
We pride ourselves in the ability to make you look bigger than you are. Not in real life. That'd be a miracle. However, we have a lot of experience bringing brands to life with our creativity.
After a well-executed, cutting-edge design, our developers then go to work to build a fully functioning product that reflects your business and speaks your message. True story.
There are 3 things sure in life: death, taxes and website stability at DBD. We keep your site online and available with 99.9% uptime, including traffic spikes. That's just how we roll.
Who We Are
Meet the Guys Behind the Logo
Small but mighty, we're like a swiss army knife for all things design. We make things look awesome so they work for you. We brand products and services using web, print, packaging, environmental, social media and video to support a single, clear message. The work we do in creative design and web development helps clients identify their unique strengths, connect their brands to the actions that define them and stand out from their competition. We listen, we learn, we advise, we design, we develop, and then we deliver results that move the dial. We love what we do.
Donnie Bell - Chief Name's-on-the-Building and President of Perfection
A perfectionist in every sense of the word, Donnie doesn't settle for average. He strives to exceed expectations. "Donnie Bell" is actually derived from the Latin phrase "do-no bad". Actually, we just made that up, but many people that have worked with him would believe it. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from LA Tech University. After a brief stint with a design firm in Memphis, Donnie decided he didn't like country music that much and returned to his roots as Creative Director at LA Tech University. During this time, Donnie leveled up with a Master of Fine Arts in 2005.
After years of freelancing and teaching at Southern Arkansas University, he opened Donnie Bell Design in 2009. When he's not grinding at the computer in an effort to beautify the Ruston scenery with his mad design skills, Donnie loves spending time with his wife Sarah and two boys Jack and Brett, eating out at the many fine eateries offered by Ruston, basketball, golf and woodworking.
Daniel Hudgens - Design Ninja and Chief of Water Intake
The world of Spiderman and the X-Men, as well as extended periods of time alone, let Daniel lose himself in his imagination and hone his skills as an artist. He eventually grew powerful enough to obtain an art scholarship from Southern Arkansas University. While at SAU Daniel made a friend in Donnie Bell, working together on several freelance jobs.
Daniel eventually committed to the Donnie Bell Design team in August 2008 to work as a graphic designer. When he's not working at work, he's drinking a lot of water. A whole lot. And with nunchucks on his desk for some reason. Daniel also takes time to practice martial arts, go fishing, delve into nature photography and spend time with his family and dog at his dojo. A personal goal of Daniel's is to read the entire Bible every year.
Courtney Pugh - Athletics Designer and Chief of Health
Courtney is a first-class graphic artist. From a young age, growing up in El Dorado, AR, Courtney had a passion to create. No matter the task, Courtney's work is his way of expressing himself to others and he always aspires do it to the best of his ability. His impressive pedigree includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design from Southern Arkansas University.
After a brief internship in Magnolia, AR, Courtney made the move to Donnie Bell Design in October 2008 where his primary focus is all things LA Tech Athletics. CP feels this environment and atmosphere is more conducive to the creative process necessary for his growth as an artist. When he's not glued to his computer screen, Courtney's hobbies includes all things football, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks, eating healthy and P90X. (Tony Horton is his hero.) He also spends weekends playing wildcard to a group of close friends.
Matt Susla - Design Connoisseur and Chief of Car Modifications
The resident gear-head, Matt graduated from LA Tech University with a degree in Graphic Design in 2009. He then moved to Shreveport and dove (not drove) into environmental graphics and print design for a local company. After 3 years, he decided to expand his horizons into Ruston and joined Team Donnie Bell Design in 2013 as a graphic designer.
When Matt's not in front of the computer pushing pixels, he can be found under the hood of his car trying to make it go faster (think Tim the Toolman Taylor) or traveling to different car events. Or changing flat tires and correcting NASCAR spins like Ricky Bobby.
Neal Breeding - IT Director, Office Manager and Chief of Multitasking
Neal's industry knowledge gives Donnie Bell Design a definite edge in web development and hosting. The Tech graduate's resume notes his first gig was service manager at Computer Solutions in Ruston, LA during a period now called the '90s. He then started his own web service company in 1999 while moonlighting as Coordinator of Information Systems for the Division of University Advancement at LA Tech University.
In 2002, Neal was promoted to Director and eventually joined up with Donnie in 2011 to handle all hosting and web development with a simple goal: offering clients a worry free experience when it comes to their website. "Web hosting is something that should just work. Our clients won't have to worry if their site is working or not." When he's not bending websites to his will like Neo in "The Matrix", Neal enjoys cooking, everything Disney, working in the shop, movies, music, and studying the Bible. The family man has the fortune of being married to his best friend, Jennifer, since 2000 and has 2 boys, Caden and Caleb.
Joey Bass - Web Developer, Social Media and Chief of ESPN Consumption
Joey is often referred to as a bundle of contradiction, as his path to DBD will indicate. After graduating from LA Tech University in 2005, he went to work for a Fruit of the Loom distribution plant in Vidalia, MS as a husky model in training. Not really, but he got that joke a lot from his friends. After 4 months of moving a lot of boxes, he accepted a job as a web developer at the CenturyLink Corporate Headquarters in Monroe, LA.
After seven years in the corporate environment and moonlighting as a freelancer, Joey needed fewer meetings and more solutions. Donnie came calling at the right time and poached him from the freelancing world, and he joined the DBD krewe in 2013. He takes pride in taking a well-executed design and turning it into a fully functional website clients will love. When he's not being a website ninja, Joey is immersed in all things ESPN while hanging with his wife and 2 awesome kids.
